In Memoriam
Today I remember a life that touched so many. Teresita De Jesus Ibanez Moreno completed her earthly journey with cancer. This beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend entered eternity on July 17th, 2026. Teresita lived a life rooted in love, compassion, and an unshakable Christian faith. Teresita faced cancer with a strength that inspired everyone around her — not because she never struggled, but because she kept choosing love, and connection even in the hardest moments.
Her legacy lives in the people she lifted up, the faith she brought into every room, and the courage she showed every single day.
Teresita’s strength and spirit continue to inspire many of us.
To honor her beautiful legacy and her heart for helping others, we are giving back. We are honoring her memory by supporting the Pretty In Pink Foundation, an organization that provides vital financial assistance to local breast cancer patients who are underinsured or uninsured. Her spirit of generosity lives on through this cause. A little backstory:
My name is Khalilah Jackson. I am a 43 yo mother of 4 who fought my own battle with Breast Cancer 7 years ago. Diagnosed on Aug 31st, 2019, I fought alongside a host of providers and am now in remission. I now dedicated time to give back to those I know personally during their walk with this horrible disease. After my battle with cancer, I made a vow to myself to do what I love which led me to many things, and recently creating a Podcast. Though the podcast is centered completely around my guilty pleasure; Reality TV, I am dedicating my first show back after a brief mental health break, to my dear friend Teresita. I met Teresita and her son 2 years ago at a church I began to attend. The kindest soul inside and out with a heart of giving back. When she was first diagnosed with cancer I jumped into action and stayed willing to help until the bitter end. I have created a personalized commercial that will be running the entire month of August on my Podcast in the hope it will encourage listeners to donate in her honor. Any dollar amount will be greatly appreciated. Let’s turn grief into action. Let’s turn her fight into fuel. Let’s help women who need us right now!
